USC Career Center

Graphic Design | Social Media Management | Digital Advertising | Student Intern | Fall 2022 - Spring 2023

I joined the USC Career Center when there was little direction on where to take the social platforms and marketing. I had previous experience in digital media marketing from similar positions, and I was able to take that knowledge and transform what the Career Center had been previously doing.

With the help and guidance of my supervisor and coworker, we created a unique and fresh identity for the USC Career Center on Instagram and Tik Tok, increasing engagement by over 50% since starting.

The Nitty Gritty...

Project Overview

During my final year as an Undergrad at USC, I had the pleasure of being part of the Career Center's Digital Marketing Team. I collaborated with Senior Marketing Manager Paolo Cantos and Graphic Designer Renata Gergenova. We were a small team with a whole lot of heart and we created a voice for the Career Center that spoke to the students.

Contributions

I hit the ground running when I came into my role as Digital Marketing Intern. At the time, there was little going on that kept the us relevant to students and I was determined to change that. Through graphic design and content creation, I began to shape the image of our team and bring in new life to our services.

"Cutest Critter" Contest

The Cutest Critter Contest was a collaborative and exciting campaign that brought staff, students, and family together and had the Career Center social media accounts buzzing with activity. I piloted this campaign as a challenge to myself to create a brand identity for a campaign and market it as well. With the aid of my team, we launched a very successful and friendly competition to see which Trojan Furry Friend was the cutest of them all!

I was the sole designer on these campaign graphics and oversaw marketing and content creation as well. In the end, we were able to increase our engagement x75, earning over 18,000 likes across 4 posts during our voting stage. Our goal for this campaign was to build a strong community and strengthen the relationship of the Career Center with the student body.

On and Upwards...

Though my time at the Career Center was short, I could not be more grateful for my time and experience there. With an amazing team full of friends and mentors, I was able to thrive. Being able to explore my creativity and challenge my design skills allowed me to grow in many ways. In the future, I hope I can continue to inspire and bring more into the world through innovative design and marketing strategies.
